ブームの火付け役は…

恵方巻きの起源には諸説あるようですが

■古くは、江戸時代に遡り、商売繁盛の祈願事

■大正初期に花街で、節分の時期にを恵方に向かってのり巻きを食べる風習

■大阪船場の旦那衆のお遊び

■大阪鮓商組合や海苔協会が海苔などの販売促進の目的で「節分の丸かぶり寿司」を宣伝

と、そのほとんどの起源が、大阪に関するもののようです。

それもそのはず、昨今の恵方巻のブームの火付け役は

堺でもおなじみの「元祖たこ昌」の山路社長だそうで

海苔の販促活動の一環としてはじめたのがきっかけだったそうです。

その後コンビニでの恵方巻キャンペーンで一気にブームに!!

私の故郷、福岡では一切目にしたことも、聞いたことも無かった恵方巻。

ついでに言うと「鰯」の頭を柊に刺して戸口などにつるす柊鰯(ひいらぎいわし)にも

かなり、驚いたものです。

柊鰯もついでに調べてみたところ、こちらは平安時代にまで遡る由緒ある習わしのようで、私は、どうも魚の頭、というより目？が苦手なせいか

これだけは、正直やりたくない(T-T)もののひとつです。

なにはともあれ、今年の恵方は南南東（南微東）正確には丙(ひのえ)

だそうです。
